OK, but how does one do that? On Mapsource, one has either streetmaps or T4A....

Not True. You can only see one set at a time, but you have the option of both.

You need to select the T4A maps to send to device(make them pink to select), then open the Streetmaps and select them as well(ie also make them pink). Both sets will now be selected and if you now do the transfer to the device, it should load both as options to use.
