Hi, I am having a problem with my Pajero DID SWB 2004, My ABS, and both ESP lights on the left hand side of my dash are staying on.
I spoke to the service manager at Pajero, and he reckons I check the fuses in my fusebox, as from towing I may have popped one, I checked and all is in order.
Has anybody come across the same problem..?, rather than send in and incurr some horrible diagnostic costs, I would rather try myself if possible.
There may be a loose plug behind dash, but I doubt it..........
Please help if possible, or perhaps if you've encountered the same problem.
I have tried to "test" to see if the system is still functioning, even if the lights are on, but dont particularly want to wipe myself out in the process..
Help,
Regards
Dave
Hi Dave
I had the same problem when towing my caravan and the taillights blew my fuse and caused the lights to come on. look at the fuse box next to the battery. Test the fuse as I have seen fuses that appear ok, but have actually blowm
Hope this helps

Just an observation with regards the original post.
I have on a few occasions come across Dave's problem.
The three things that always seem to go hand in hand are the following:
1)Sometimes after sticking something into the trailer light socket,
2)Something, somewhere on the dash display goes dead and
3)The first check of fuses fail to show a blown fuse, but a follow-up detailed inspection finds the blown fuse.
The conclusion I draw form this is that the Pajero is wired in a such a way that visible objects, from the driving position, are linked to the various fuses that protect the wiring to the external lights. That way you will always know if a fuse has failed to any of the external lights.
