It seems to me that No 1 cylinder is the one most likely to fail (from what I read on numerous forums), so it is probably a good spot.JohanV wrote:This is where mine is. its right on the first outlet.

Now just add the three others!
One obviously cannot drill right through the manifold without removing it, as it will be impossible to stop shavings from the drill bit and tap to go inside the manifold. If this happens you will have a very unhappy turbo. So is welding it on the better way?

I would just undo the piece of pipe between the manifold and turbo (if easy to get in there), drill and thereafter give the engine a very short and quick turn to blow the rubbish out. I bought the mgl setup last week. The gauge, probe and 1m extension wire cost about R 1 400 and cost for delivery to EL was R150.
