Hi Gents,
Does any of you know who manufacturers bash plates for the BK 3.2 Di-Dc SWB Pajero?
Harras,
Same plates as per CK as I understand, try Front runner, Stofpad, Lynx or Charlie brown, he is on 4x4 Community as well as Stofpad. Front runner are what I have installed on my CK, got 2 plates on mine up front.
Cheers
David

BK bash plates are not exactly the same as CK plates so will not fit properly without some modificatiin. When I had the BK I could not get the frontrunner CK plates to fit properly.Davidvan wrote:Harras,

I think they might have sorted it by now as this was back in 2008 when the Gen4 was still very new.
Personally I like the lynx plates better. They are wonderfully engineered.

Thanks CATS,
If I had to do it again, I would probably not do the Frontrunner, happy with it, but believe the others are better. Mine is powder coated and is showing signs of rust by some of the bumps.

From Charlie Brown. Works like a charm
My only complaint is that it seems that the Agents are not in possession of a allan key to remove the plate under the oil filter. So, either they take off the whole bashplate (and not put it back properly
) or they do it insitu, leaving your car dripping oil off the bashplate......

Harras, I'm going to Uys (Stofpad4x4) next week Friday to get my Gen4 measured. I'm keen on a bashplates for the front / sump and the gearbox as well. I'll ask him to measure for rock sliders as well (for those who are interested).
Lynx quoted me R5500 for both plates, Uys was R3850 for both (although the quotes are 2 months old).
I know Uys is not always the most Pajero friendly guy (he drives a Toy Tuna afterall), but he seems like quite a nice guy and I've seen only good feedback about his plates. I believe Lynx is also very good, so it might just come down to price for me at the end.
Will let you know...

Just for Info the Frontrunner plates are currently R1495 each..... I think I paid R600 each when I got mine which was the cheapest at the time, still OK and strong, but for rust in the long term, especially for coastal guys this may be an issue for the highveld guys not too bad. Not sure if will fit BK though, may need to confirm with them directly. Mine has taken a good few knocks and still in 1 piece and definately string enough and worth the moeny to put this protection on.
