Hi
I'm considering building a compressor into my Pajero's (gen 2) engine bay. So far the only compressor that I've come across that seems suitable for the job is ARB. Is there any other compressors / brands that I should consider?
Will only be used to inflate tires.
There are many other options but ARB has been known for reliability even if they are not the fastest pumps around. They are designed to be able to withstand the pressures of living in the engine bay as they are originally made to pump the diflocks that ARB manufacture.
So I would definately say yes to ARB. Mine has been doing service for a while and still going good, but I did have a problem with it where it seized up shortly after buying. I was advized to use some Q20 every now and again in the inlet to assist in driving the moisture that forms when using the pump out and keep it fromm seizing again.

I have a T-Max comprssor and it seems to be ok . I it pumps quite good and does not get hot quickly as well.
