Introduction Shaun Nel
Hi All
I live in Lydenburg Mpumalanga,I'm 43 married no children (yet).
I'm self employed and keep myself busy with a couple of things ie. LP gas installations,Solar waterheating and insulation.
My hobby is photography
I am an adventure bike rider(2007 BMW GS ADVENTURE) with a couple of trips under the belt mostly to Lesotho ,Karoo ,Eastcoast and in August.. Botswana.. This was the trip that inspired me to obtain the 1995 2800 Gls Pajero, as we realized that to many places that were inaccesable (and after taking a couple of dives in the sand) by bike..
My 4x4 experience ....0
My wishlist... page through any offroad magazine advert section :D

Oh yes my vehicle is what you could call a project as it has done 311 000kms and is in a bit of a shape as it recieved no love from the previous owner, currently busy stripping out the interior for a good and thourough cleening and then the mechanical and body will follow so I'm in need of all kinds of bits and pieces.
I could be clasified as a pain in the but DIY'er as I love building and designing my "custom" equipment and refuse to buy what I can make ... and having to admit to defeat at times spent more in "prototyping " than just buying the thing..
I can't wait to finish this car and get off to my dream destination which for now is Namibia ..then go back to Bots
Looking forward to the interaction with guys who have walked the walk and can talk the talk..

Welcome, to the Mitsu clan!

Unless you post photographs, we refuse to believe that you actually own a Pajero! :D

Give us more detail on the Pajero - model, year, engine, extras etc.

Welcome Shaun,
I'm sure you will find much information here for both your rebuild and travel ambitions. Its not a one way street though so lets see some photos of the project.

Thanks for the welcome guys.. Im sure we will be sharing a lot more in the future .. as you realized by now I haven't spent a lot of time at my pc and sadly also not on my pajero as other more "important" projects had to take presidence.ie: finishing a room I've been building for the last two years.. eish
my car is a 1995 model and she has doe aprox 311 000 km.. the engine is "new" I still have to find out what that means rebuilt or replaced but she doesn't go well at all .The suspension i shot and every rubber balljoint and link will have to be replaced ,onle then can I dare a decent test drive and discover the rest of the issues. I've already started to strip the interior for ...ja you guessed cleaning and mods... so for ye of little faith some pics..
