Hi, Mark and welcome.

I'm sure that by now you have read about all the threads here and if so, you will have noticed that everybody is crazy about their cars AND that you have bought the best there is. :D

Enjoy!

Re: New to the Pajero World
Hi Mark,

Welcome to the Pajero forum, there are alot of posts around this on the forum already I would suggest doing a search on these, will find what you are looking for on this one.

On the 4x4 system, do a check and test of the 4wd system, it is based on a vacuum system. Make sure that when engaging through the system, that the lights stop flashing (usual good indication that all is OK), can take a few seconds to stop flashing so don't panic :-)

WHen engaged in the respective modes the lights should be static. Being a early Gen3, you will have a rear diff lock as well (will only engage in 4LLc). When enagaging and disengaging 4LLC, you should be stationary and in Neutral. All other changes (from 2wd to 4H and 4Hlc, you can do while moving). If any of the lights continue to flash say after 20-30 seconds it may need a quick look at. So just let us know what happens there.

If you are in Gauteng, there is a GTG at Krugersdorp Game Reserve with Eco Adventures on thr 5th February (need to book with Jannie on www.passport2adventure.co.za), there is a small 4x4 track there as well which will be a good way to get to know your Paj.

Cheers

Re: New to the Pajero World
HI Guys

Thanks for the responses.

4x4 all checks out OK, one of the switches was replaced as it was not going into 4L.

Have not used my Pajero a lot, have been away on business.

Hope to meet you guys one day, does the club ever meet at any JHB drinking holes or else where?

Cheers

Howzit Mark.

Welcome.

I am also relatively new to this, but can tell you that you have come to the right place. between Cats and Pikanini to mention a few, there is not much that they cant help you with. I haven't met any one yet, but judging by the communication and help received, a really awesome bunch.

Enjoy the Paj. Best car in the world.
