Any ideas??
The gearlever on my car has been very sticky (difficult to move) since towing back from the North-Coast last week. In the mornings it takes some force to move it out of "Park", or in any direction. Gets better when hot, but still not normal. The car sometimes also won't start untill I juggle lever to get the 'Park" or Neatral" sensors to operate.
Any ideas??

A bit late and digging out of the grave but it might help future searches.
My actual movement got sticky once and I figured out that it was loads of dirt and sticks underneath the car that jammed the mechanism on the side of the autobox.
2 days ago my actual release button was sticky so I opened the console, cleaned, sprayed some WD40 and applied some grease to moving parts and now it feels better than it ever did.
