Lift kit for Gen 3 SWB 2001
Previously on the website there was a discussion about 2" lift kits that had been sourced for Gen 3 pajero's and who would be interested.
Is this still an option? After several off road trips it is obvious I need that little bit of extra distance between me and the ground.

Re: Lift kit for Gen 3 SWB 2001
gordonb,

It is very simple to do a body lift on the Pajero. I have raised my Pajero by 50mm in front and 30mm at the back. I am considering to increase the rear to 50mm.

For the front I had two steel spacers made - 30 mm thick. They fit between the strut mount and the body and give about a 50mm lift.

At the rear I installed 4 x 30mm spacers between the suspension carrier and the body and that is also the effective lift increase. Here you need to buy longer bolts. The standard bolts are 140mm long and depending on the height increase you require, the length of the bolts will have to be that much longer. If one can not find a piece of metal that thick, one can add two spacers to make up the required lift.

A friend of mine can make the front spacers for about R700,00 a set and your job will only be to fit them - all bolts etc supplied. It will take about a week to make. The rear spacers will be much cheaper but you will have to find bolts of the desired length. I do not think it will be a mission to find longer bolts. Fitting the spacers can be arranged and it should take less than one day. Keep in mind that you will need a full castor, camber and toe-in adjustment after fitting the spacers.

I've seen Cloyd's lift and it looks very nice and easy to do.

Hi Cloyd,
Do you have any pictures of the spacers and indeed your Paj with them fitted?

Thanks Wilddog

Guys,

I've done measurements ...

Front is 525mm
Rear is 550mm

From crossmember to ground 310mm
From bash plate to ground is 235mm

I'm still very happy! No issues what so ever.
