The Gen3 LR tank (Front Runner) is lower than the main tank and mine has a 12V "Hardi" pump to transfer the fuel. An electronic cut-out prevents the pump from running dry when the aux tank is empty. This little "black box" packed up. It's all cast in resin, so no chance of fixing it. According to the friendly installer of the tank, they can't get hold of the cut-outs anymore and now simply install a toggle swith to switch the pump on and off on new installations.
I have now done this as a temporary measure, but being a bit absent minded, its only a matter of time before I burn the pump! Thought of just installing a LED to at least remind me that the pump is running, but this still leaves the risk of running it dry.
Any ideas?
