Re: What tyres to buy
Hi All,

I'm in the market for four new tyres. Currently running BFG A/T and done 90 000. Would do more if i didn't allow them to wear of uneven. Thus I'm a BFG man, but they are expensive.

Below a table of the best prices I could source so far.(sorry, I cant get my table to format properly)

Tyre Size Best Price
Pirelli 265/70R16 R 8,472
BF Goodrich 265/75R16 R 10,400
Michillin LTX AT2 265/75R16 R 9,960
Michillin LTX AT2 265/70R16 R 8,760
Bridgestone D694 Dueller 265/75R16 R 7,200
Bridgestone D697 Dueller 265/70R16 R 11,800
Hankook Dynapro ATM 265/75R16 R 11,011
Goodyear Wrangler 265/75R16 R 6,284

This is for 4 tyres including fitment balancing and allignment.

Even though I prefer BFG, the price I can get on the Bridgestones are R3000 cheaper???? :?:

Please help...has anybody had experience on both Bridgestones and BFG?

Regards,

Contact Renata Tyres in Rustenburg. Their prices are much much lower than anywhere else.
I bought 6 X 265/70/16 Hankook MT for R10600.

Re: What tyres to buy
Also check out the tyres available on the tyretraders website:

TyreTraders

They have quite a wide variety of tyres.

Maxxis is also a very good value for money option.

I am running BF Goodrich Rugged Trail T/A, which is quite a bit cheaper than the AT and I got very good mileage on them so far, and they have performed flawlessly on a few rocky trails as well as Brakkeduine over the weekend.
Re: What tyres to buy
Any Gen4 drivers tried out 265/70 R17?

I see they are quite a bit mroe expensive than the 265/65s...

Regards,
I had two sets of Duelers which both barely made 30K km's. Rather stay clear of them.

Very happy with the BF's I'm running at the moment.

+1

BFG last a lot longer than Bridgestone D694.

For those options I would say BFG all the way.
