GUD and FRAM oil filters
Hi All

I'm looking for the GUD or FRAM oil filter numbers for a 3.2 DiD 2006 model.

My Paj needs an oil change but the dealers are out of oil filters and the ETA is only in three weeks.

So I want to get a generic part brand, but the spares places can't find an oil filter number in their books for my Paj.

Can anyone help, please?? :)

Re: GUD and FRAM oil filters
i find it hard to believe that the dealer doesn't have oil filters. The 2.8 colts, 2.8 pajeros, 3.2 pajeros, 3.2 tritons and canter trucks all use the same filter.

Ask the dealer to check if any other branches have stock.

4ePikanini, here are only 2 dealers in Namibia and neither has oil filters. I reckon they have, but they are not selling them, only using them to service clients' cars. Who knows when Imperial will get their act together!!

I found a "pirate" filter. Looks identical to the Mitsu filter, except for the Mitsu logo. The GUD part no is Z259. I can't remember the FRAM part no.

Strange thing is the FRAM and GUD books only list oil filters for the Mitsu's up to the 2005 models, that's why they did not find my 2006 model. But the filters are all the same.

Re: GUD and FRAM oil filters
my Mitsu parts program shows the same part number for the gen2 2.8 TD and Gen3 3.2 Di-D

ME013307

The Gen4 uses a different filter.

Had the same problem with the dealers being out of stock a while back and went to Midas and got a GUD fuel filter for the 3.2DID. They had them in stock, no problem.

Strange thing is - the box says "Proudly South-African" but the filter has a stamp on saying "Made in Israel". How does that work??

Sorry, did not take pics of the oil fitlers. Will see tonight if I still have one sitting on the shelf.

The dealers were out of stock and I had to service, so no option for me.

Hi Guys

From 2006 to 2008 GUD Oil Z259, GUD Air AG1138 & Diesel Z554.
From 2009 onwards GUD Oil Z259, GUD Air AG1122 & Diesel Z188.
Check to see during 2009 when they changed which model you have before you purchase. The same would apply before you fit, check they match whats currently on the vehicle.
If anyone needs the fram equivalents let me know?

The reason for the Made in Israel on the Z554 is that GUD/Fram import the low volume items like the Z554. I stand to be corrected but I think that more than 70% of their filters are locally produced, hence the Proudly South African part.
You should be able to source at any Midas & I am sure they will better any price if asked.

The FRAM Oil Filter number for the Gen 3 DiD is PH5529. Same as for the 2.8TDi motor.
