Water behind dash
Hi guys, long time...

Another strange one: Recently I've been hearing the sound of running water behind my dashboard. Specially on pull away after initial startup. It sounds like water running from side to side.
I'm not loosing any rad water and also nothing dripping inside cab.

Could this just be an airlock in the heater matrix?

The sound goes away after a while but appears at the next startup after she's been standing for a while.

Any ideas

Thanks

Re: Water behind dash
Had the same thing some time ago and if you leave it long enough it actually seeps into the cab. The problem is blocked drainage holes: I first realized this when I saw a Blister without the front fenders in a scrap yard. This happens over time when dust, debris, leaves etc. enters in the slots of the valance where the wipers sits( between the bonnet and windscreen) The cure is simple: remove the wipers and valance, clear the drain holes(they're situated towards where the side indicators sits on the front fenders)with a piece of wire or high pressure cleaner and re assemble. You can also attempt this with a long piece of wire through the vent slots in the valance but will not be as effective and leave some scratches.
