Just a quick note.
My radio's display died on my two weeks ago and I thought it must be replaced. Then I remembered plugging in an electrical unit into the cigarette plug previously, which worked for a split second and then died - burnt fuse.
So today I replaced the cigarette lighter's fuse and viola! The display also came back to life. So, if your display dies on you (even if the radio still plays), first check all the fuses (especially the cigarette plug's fuse) before buying new radios.
NOTE: The radio's display (or mine at least) and the front cigarette lighter share the same fuse/power supply.

There is serious cross-pollination in the Pajero fuse system. If I didn't respect these cars so much, I would have thought it is a real mess and was designed by a 6 year old.
BUT,
In actual fact, I have found that every time I lost a fuse on my Pajero, that something "visible" to the driver fails. So, everytime you loose something on your dash, check ALL your fuses very carefully - it is a warning to you that something else isn't working.
Maybe the fuse system was designed by that 6 year old's brilliant engineer father.

I had a problem with my digital clock numbers fading, so I re-soldered the pc board. Clock display now 100%, but when I drive with lights on, the time "flies" 2x as fast. Does not happen during the day when lights are switched off. Any ideas?
