I am wanting to buy 15" Ford ranger rims. I fitted a rim and it clears the calipers but the rim sits further out by about 25mm. Will this be an issue? Could the tyre hit the fender under suspension compression? Are there any other issues that could arise?
Thanks guys
Nick

I cant help on the 15 inch Ford rims but can tell you that on my gen 3 when I fitted the 2010 Ford Ranger 16 inch rims with slightly oversize tyres of 265/75/16, BFG AT, that they rub very slightly on a bolt that hold my aftermarket diy rubber mudflaps in place when brand new and turning sharply. Once the tyres have done a few kilos they are fine. Off course that was after I had longer coils fitted so it was not std. After the spacers that I recently fitted nothing catches anywhere anymore, except my wife catching the handle, jumping to get in.

Hi Cats
Thanks for the info. I will be fitting 31/10.5/15 tyres. They will have a slightly smaller diameter to my current 265/75/16 tyres. My thoughts are that I should only really have an issue with extreme wheel articulation which would be done at really low speeds. I don't think I should have any other issues. Let's hope.
Best regards

Nope. It is not your computer, but my first attempt at uploading pics. Is there a trick to this? I would really like to show all how the rims turned out.

OK
Nick sent me pictures of his 'starfish' Pajero rims after he took his hand at the painting brush
(Didn't know that is what those rims are called?)
Actually looks pretty good I think and definitely changed the looks completely
Here are the pics that showed up blank previously.
Cheers

Thanks Cats
Really appreciate you posting the pics for me. I thought the guys might like to see what can be done with the standard rims for minimal cost. A can or two of Hammerite spray paint and some patient masking off of the rim. Maybe not the look for all, but I really like it. The pictures don't quite do it justice. Thanks for the compliment.
