I'm in the process of getting is ideas of what to do. I have a 2005 LWB 3.2 Did.I currently have a 102aH battery that i want to fit. the space in the engine room is a bit too small. I was thinking of something in the lines of a portable battery system that I can possible build in to the back where the extra two seats fold under the floor. I know of the National Luna portal battery system that one can get, but that is currently @ R 2700.00. Hoping to be able to design and build something bit cheaper. I have a Benton 5-step battery charger that I would like to use with it. Especially if we are parked somewhere then I would be able to plug the charger into the normal power and charge the battery., Not sure if one can use the charger as well to charge from the alternator / engine itself.
any ideas welcome. I'm based in Cape Town so if you can recommend someone, that would be appreciated.
