Listen for it
Hi all

Can some one with a 2000, 2001, 2002 Pajero DID blister fender Pajero please listen to where there flicker relay is and let me know as mine has stopped working and I cannot locate it.
I have searched the net with no luck and even the agents cannot tell me.

Thank you

Re: Listen for it
Hi Martyn

I am not able to point to the exact location of the flicker unit, but it is behind/below the instrument cluster. If you remove the instrument cluster (which is quite easy - 3 screws)you should easily be able to locate it.

Good luck

Re: Listen for it
Hi lunnmj,

Apologies for the late reply.

On my 2002 Gen3 3.2 DID I can hear it somewhere above my accelerator foot.

According to the wiring diagram in my Max Ellery's manual the indicators are controlled by the ETACS ECU. I suspect that is behind the fuse panel which is to the right of and below the steering column.

There is a fault finding guide for this in the workshop manual p54B.37.

I dont know if the relay will only work if there is power on the flasher circuit. Have you checked the hazard fuse with a multimeter? Fuse #15 in the engine compartment. If you have been towing it is quite easy to overload that fuse e.g. when you put on the hazards.

Hope you resolve this.

Unfortunately it's not an easy job.

It is located behind the fuse box on the top part underneath a blue cover.

Thank you 4ePikanini

I will have a look for it there.
Do you know if the relay can be replaced on it's own ?
