Hi there Fellow Mitsu lovers
Can anybody please advise me on the follwing. I have a 1997 swb 3.0 v6 Pajero but without a rear diff lock. I would like to get an aftermarket unit installed can any body please give me some advice and maybe the cost involved in such an exercise. Up to now I haven't needed the use of a diff lock yet but who knows I might need it in the future.

As far as I know the ARB- type aftermarket lockers is not available for Pajero. I see you have 2 options: transplant a diff from a blister fender, or trade in your '97 on a '98 (blister fender) which has the factory fitted difflock.
The second option may seem ridiculous, but is probably potentially cheaper.

I got a quote today on a ARB locker from 4x4 Megaworld for my 2008 3.8V6 GLS LWB. Cost is R20k including compressor, wheel pump kit and fitment. Lead time on the order is 10 weeks.
Suggestion. Get a diff from one thats on the scrap heap.... Im sure that would be a whole lot cheaper.
