Hi Richard, welcome to the forum and to mitsu ownership.Richard wrote:i have not yet had it on a serious off road trip but where i have been has been thick soft sand and have not yet had to select 4 wheel drive
Please can I ask that you DO engage 4wd when off tar? Driving on gravel or sand without 4wd tends to cause more damage to the road / environment. You will also have better vehicle control and keep the drive seals etc. that are used only when in 4wd better lubricated and become aware of any problems before you need to rely on them. Also go play somewhere in low range occassionally for the same reason.
Enjoy!
Hi Andrew

Holy smokes that's a low price. Did you get it registered already? Many sell their imports cheap as they struggle with the legalities of getting it registered.

Hi 4e
yes rgestration in Botswana is no problem, i know that it is a problem in South Africa, you can't even take a import already registered in Botswana and register it in SA they won't even let you export the vehicle.

Hi Richard, No offence meant or taken! If you look at your vehicle's footprint over sand in 2wd vs 4wd with centre diff locked you will see that there is a difference. In the latter case you will see a near perfect tyre tread imprint which represents almost no displacement of surface strata.Richard wrote:Hi Andrew
