Being the first I've heard of it, I decided to go check what my Ellery's manual says (cant find my Haynes one - maybe someone can check what it says)...and it only shows one CAT.
So, Questions 1:
The typical CAT is easy to identify, but is this other one that sitting close to the engine also a CAT? Q2:
I assume its pointless to replace the usual CAT if there is one right near the engine? So will have to put a straight pipe there as well.
Q3: I'm worried about affecting the sound / noise - dont want it to change dramatically. So I'm thinking of doing the following:
- I want to replace the big box in the middle, as this is quite a low point under the belly of the car. Will replace it with a smaller free flow box (with a slight off set for more noise reduction). But I'm worrying that this will affect the sound a lot.
- So I'm thinking of putting in another small box where the normal cat usually sits.
