Gentleman,
Some advise please. I have the same problem as I had a year ago. My 3.5 has a "stutter" at around 2500-3300 rpm, I replaced a ignition coil and the problem went away. but alas its back.
My questions are :
Has anyone also replaced ignition coils?
Is this a problem with the 3.5?
How often does one replace plug wires?
Can one buy plug wires from anyone but Mitshu?
Thanks for all the great topics and suggestions

Have you got a soultion for the problem yet? I am only seeing your post now. I had the same problem on my 3.5V6. It would stutter/shudder at those rpms, but it was not something that happened all the time. I would change to a lower gear, so the rpms would go higher for say 30 seconds, and then back to the regular gear, and that would sort of clear the problem.
I took the vehicle for service and computer diagnosed the problem as faulty ignition coils. I changed two of them and have not had the problem since, and the vehicle even seems to have more power, with less fuel consumption. I got my coils from vehicle breakers, so I think if you check around you can find some good second hand spares. Mine even carried a guarantee.
