I am the proud owner of a 2009 Pajero SWB Diesel but the small fuel tank is becoming a huge frustration. Several unsuccessful enquiries has already been made for a long range tank. Does anybody know if and where a bigger tank can be installed before leaving for Namibia in May. Your replies would be appreciated.
Frans
Hi Frans
Not sure about the SWB, but there is a 35/40L available for the LWB. For me though, it makes no commercial sense, I rather carry jerry cans.
Depending where and what you wanna to in Namibia, jerries will do the job.

I have also looked at a Long range tank for my SWB, but nothing is available. The problem is there is just no space available under the SWB to put another tank. My solution - carry 2 jerry cans.

How much does the rear of the Gen 3 and 4 differ, will a Gen 3 frontrunner tank fit a Gen 4?

EDIT
It does differ quite a bit. The Gen 4 has a fold away row of seats, thereby she's lower body work wise than the Gen 3. The Gen 4 LD tank is 42 or something litres and the Gen 3 LD tank some 60 odd..

As far as I know Frontrunner only has a LD tank for the LWB. The discussion is about the SWB.

Morning to you all
Dont know why i did not join the club before, i have had LWB paj and two SWB paj since 2004.
I sold the LWB to a mate of mine in 2006 and got The SWB, and yes the trouble is the amount of space you lack for both in and under the vehicle.
You are correct in saying there is a LD tank for the LWB but not for the SWB.
Carry Jerry cans??? this comes with its problems cause as frontrunner will tell you they do not recommend you carry jerry cans on a roof rack around the existings rails of the vehicle, cause the roof is only rated for around 70KG. they recommend removing the rails and fitting a rack system which entails removing the head lining, cost R6000, tahts alot of dosh for 2 jerry cans!
