thank you guys for the information i now have a few engine options that i can look at. i was also thinking going for diesel.

can you advise on fitment centres that can do the engine replacement for me or will this have to be a DIY job, i will just have to find out about getting this done and then having to cross the border with another engine :lol: this might cause some fun and games.

thanks again now i can start looking at what engine is going to be best because i don't want to have to sell my Pajero because of fuel consumption, and seeing that i only paid 48000 i can spend some money on the vehicle

What tyres are you using & do you have a roofrack?

On my 2001 3.2did, tyre change to bfg mud terrains & lift made a 1.5km/l diff. Roofrack makes another diff of about 1.5km/l.

I usually got between 8.5 & 10km/l on open road before & now down to 6-7 with both. When I remove roofrack, back up to 7.5-8km/lt.

i am running Cooper stt's AT tyres have not fitted the roof rack yet that is still being made, i must have it on before easter weekend, going to Khama Rhino sanctuary for the weekend, at least looking forward to that. not looking forward to filling the tank :lol: :lol: maybe i must use my company car, not much better on fuel :twisted:
