Hennops Offroad Trail
Hi Guys...

So I am going to Hennops on one of the two weekends coming up, and I was thinking I should perhaps post something here on the subject.

I have been doing some Googling on Hennops in order to know as much as I can about the place before I go. Obviously the only way to really know, is to get out there and actually do it..

Though before I do go, and over and above everything that I have been told and what I have read about the place, I would like to ask you guys if anyone here has been. What do I look out for? What should I be expecting, What tyre pressures do any of you think I should do the trail with. So anyone with some experience of Hennops, I would greatly appreciate some insight, best to speak to the well experienced I guess..

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Hennops is not hectic at all, a good day to get out and play a little. Not sure if your Paj has a diff lock, if not you may need to choose your line on a few of the obstacles. Just take it easy the Paj will easily do all the obstacles they have there. Remember 1 thing when doing trails and that is a as slow as possible and as fast as necessary.

I usually vary between 1.6 and 1.8 bar on my Gen3. With mostly 1.8 at Hennops.

If your first time out, some of the obstacles may seem daunting, there is nothing wrong with going around, seen it too many times where too much speed causes damage.

Hope that helps, but the Paj can do it all there, however there is a new trail they created that I haven't done yet, heard a few guys gettting punctures and the like.

Thanks for the reply...

I will take note of this...

I have been to Basvark.. the second day after owning the Pajero. I made the mistake of putting my foot on the clutch at the first descent into water, splashed everyone that was standing there watching.

My Pajero does have a diff lock, though at this point it isn't working because something in the diff itself is not engaging, So that has to be taken apart at some point. I know that it is something to do with that, because if I press the diff lock button you can hear the compressor working. But nothing gets engaged. Will just have to cope with normal 4wd.

Your Paj will handle everything that Hennops throps at it. Just take it easy and pick your lines. The rest is history.
Just do It!!
Re: Hennops Offroad Trail
Hennops was the first trail i did a week after i got my Pajero. You'll do fine.

Hi,

You may wanna try Mitspro for a look at your difflock, if small they can fix quickly, if something bigger maybe check for another place as they can keep the car for a little while as per some other guys posts. But they know the Pajero well and sounds like a good match for Mitspro.

Cheers

Re: Hennops Offroad Trail
Hi...

So I just got back from my first Hennops experience. WOW, but it was awesome. I found a few obstacles a bit daunting, and found that my rear diff lock actually does work. What a difference that made. Only figured it out after the axle twisters. The light for the diff was just not lighting up.

All in all, GREAT fun... I will be posting some pictures as soon as I get them from my sister who was camera man for the day.
