hi, on my incessant look for good priced tyres for both my cars i found the following now this car is supposedly assisted by the company as i dont yet have a company car and they chose to assist it till i get a car. so i needed tyres and they bought some horrible chinese things that make lots of noise at any speed above 60km/h. its just unbearable and im gonna change them asap.
well the paj needs new boots that will be able to handle it all.
the General and Bolex had good reviews in aussie land..
take a look and tell me which ones would you go for (keep it below 1.6k)

Strange that you say that...
My Paj has a set of Contis on it, And I have never had any problems with regards to grip. The only problem I did ever have was when I went over black ice, But then any Tyre would lose grip, oh and they are a bit cracked in places, and chips of rubber have been ripped off the tread here and there due to some off roading, with deflation.
Just my opinion though.

The Generals got the best rating in the 4*4 shootout (Think it was Drive magazine) No prices from Kumo?
If you can feel the grass between your toe's, your flying too low!

It was leisure wheels i think... they dont stock Kumho, all these prices are from nazkar in Lenasia.
hmm so the Contis are out of equation, i do 80% drive in tar, 10% dirt roads and maybe 10% in gravel so confort and road holding are key. of course i also want that 4x4 "look".
going to read some more reviews on the bolex and gemstone. maybe we can have a good cheap tyre in our midst.

Hi there...
If you are interested in the "Khumo Road Venture MT KL71" Tyres.
Here is a number that you can call for pretty good prices on it.
Its my brother-in-law and his name is Trevor, He drives a Land Cruiser J80 and says that the Khumos are the best tyres he has used yet, and they really do look mean...
PM me and I will gladly give you his number if you are interested..

I have the Goodyear Wrangler A/Ts on my Paj. Very rugged tyre, Great tyre and well Priced. Cant go wrong. Love them and No problems with them at all.
My Wrangler AT/SA's developed a dish effect on the central rib.
Had a look around car parks etc, noticed that just about all of them do it.
My experiment with Wrangler HP's has not gone well.
They DO NOT like gravel....
Going for BF's now
