general grabber a/w tires

hi all,
i hope someone can advise?
i have a gen 3, 3.2d. i use the vehicle to tow my palma caravan.
i do very little offroad/bundu bashing - maybe 10%? the vehicle is now due for some new tires, and i can get the Goodyear Grabber A/W at a very good price... - it is apparently a very quite tire,
(but is not really a concern, the beautiful sound of the engine takes care of that

) who had some experience with this tire?

Well yes I've had them on now for about three thousand kilometres. Once went off tar and onto a small obstacle course.
I bought them for three reasons:
1. They came out tops with the Leisure Wheels tyre shootout out of 15 tyres tested.
2. Being a product of the famous Continental mark they still beat the Conti Cross Contact by one position
3. Yes they go at a very reasonable price. Well less than R2000 for 265/70X16 's.

I find them to be almost silent compared to the Bridgestones I had on before and boy what A NICE RIDE they give you. It feels like a different car with very little Pajero harshness left. My experience was mainly on tar so far where these Grabbers performed above expectation. I will buy nothing else if I had to buy again soon.

The Grabbers are also very good looking with a macho design that draws attention. Thread pattern is unique and is asimetrical with very wide side grooves for improved dirt handling.

We may have a misunderstanding here. I see you talk about the Grabber A/W Tyre. Is that the normal road tyre? I have the Grabber A/T tyres.

hi bigwill, no it is the All Weather Tire. what would the difference be? btw thank you for your replies.

The All Weather tyre is primarily an on-road tyre with a finer radial grooved tread for tar road, whereas the AT (All Terrain) is good for tar with very good off-road capabilities. If you really do 10% of your travelling off-road, then your should rather go for the AT with the very aggressive treat pattern and some more puncture resistance.
