Hi all,
I need advice on a 1994 Pajero 3L. The engine revs when idling use to be 700rpm. Lately I notice this went up to a 1000rpm without any adjustments made. This week after starting it one morning the revs start hunting between 1000 to 2500 revs, and then setle after a while at 2500rpm.

Sounds like a dodgy ICV (idle control valve)... Quite pricy if I recall correctly, try spraying some(very little) WD 40 into it to see if you can free the mechanism up a bit, otherwise you need to replace it.

Nick, Thank you I did try to clean it and one can feel it is moving (Stepper motor). Still idle high will spend more time on it at a later stage.
