Hi guys,
I know this may be a bit of a long shot but its worth a try. If I don't give it a try, its a guaranteed no.
I am in my second year of my PhD doing research on the endangered oribi. I am using my '98 Gen 2 3.5 as my trusty field vehicle. As many of you know these vehicles are quite thirsty and I am doing a lot of traveling between field sites in KZN. The funding that I have is limited and additional funding is difficult to obtain.
I came up with the idea to send Mitsubishi South Africa my project proposal asking for some funding(any amount would be greatly appreciated) to cover fuel/service costs as a vehicle is fundamental to collecting data . The benefit to Mitsubishi is that they will be associated with conservation of an endangered species and would be acknowledged in all presentations/documentation/international peer reviewed journals. I would be more than happy to have branding on my Paj so Mitsubishi can get additional exposure. Does anyone on the forum have any advice on who I can contact at Mitsubishi to try and get a response and with some luck a good response?
As I said, I know its a long shot but any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Keenan
I will send you Braam Faul's contact details. He is the head honcho of Marketing
I also suggest you set up a PayPal or equivalent where you can receive donations (you need an FNB account though).
Apply some graphic mind, create a banner or two, write up a one pager, and I will put it on our website too.

Hi Simon,
Sorry for the late reply, I am in the field collecting data. I will get on it as soon as possible.
Thanks for your help.
