Hi Guys,
My Pajero is making a high pitch sound below 2500 rpm and it seems only to be there when a drive and not when the car is standing still (revving). I though turbo leak (line) somewhere, but then it will be there whether I am driving or not?
I read in a 4x4 magazine that a "screeching sound" is possibly a buckled propeller in the turbo, but this is not a screeching sound, more a high pitch wining sound. Perhaps I am just noticing it now and it might be quite normal? 2007 model GLS, 85 000 kms on the clock.
Regards
Gert
Not sure why it will not make noise when stationery but maybe check that your intercooler are still intact. I have heard one whistle when it had a hole.

As you say only there when driving maybe check for a piece of wire or branch caught somewhere around driveshafts?
Just throwing some ideas in the air here!

Hehe, well tell me when you find what it is...
I didn't know the 3.2did sound when I got mine at 60k kms. Now, at 120k kms, sound still there, no impact. Mitspro reckons it's normal, so do most folk in here.
So do investigate, but know that these turbos do make a bit of noise...
