Pajero bonnet shield

I have a 2002 Pajero 3.2 DiD SWB sport (blister fender) and am looking for a bonnet shield.
The OEM one costs far too much approx R1450. I have tried all over for after market one. It seems like they do not make one for my model as I even phoned Xeonen or something like that who told me they have up to 1999 and then 2006 onwards.

Can anyone give advise where do I get one ?

Hi,

I have got a shield, it is made by EGR, I cannot remember where I got it from, but I think it was the dealer, and cost +-R350. This was MM Midrand. That was for my 2001 Gen3 Paj.

Please confirm your Paj, the 3.2DID came out in the Gen3 shape in SA, and the Blister fender shape still had the 2.8TDI and is called the Gen2 (also Gen2.5)

Sorry I took so long to reply, I have been out of town.
Mine is a Gen 3 Pajero as your top pic, just a SWB.
Can you please find a part no for me or more info as the agent here in PE gave me the quote of R1450.00.

Hi,

Try calling Mitsubishi dealer in Midrand, give them your vin number and they should be able to give you a preice. The Gen 3 is also known as the CK or NM model.

Hi, I bought my from Autostyle for under R300 about a year or so ago. They also deliver.

Thanks I will try phoning Midrand branch.

I called the EGR make you told me about as I found them on the net, but they do not import that any any more so no luck.
Autostyling do not have the one for the Gen 3 only older models.

Hi, I have a Pajero Gen.2 and had a Carbon Fibre Strip attached to my bonnet instead as i could not source a supplier for an original. The cost was R150.00 and it serves the same purpose (I bought one delivered from Autostyle and returned it as it did not fit my Gen.2). Hope this info is of use to you.

Hi all

Thanks for all the help.
I managed to get a EGR one from Pretoria, but a clear one as I was told that Mitsubishi did not approve the carbon fiber look.
I have now had it covered with carbon fiber vinal and it looks perfect. They even put the EGR badge back on.
