The finish is excellent. A tough powder coat that stands up well to wear and tear and sprays clean fairly easily - they've been in development for nearly year now and I must say - Uys truly has ripped a rabbit outa the hat with superb design and workmanship - I love them!
These sliders definitely work like a charm! I've tested them in Lesotho, Drakensberg and Northern Natal and barring some scuff Marks etc. underneath, they've taken knocks in their stride that would definitely have bent my original running boards. I still have the original prototypes on but a few changes have been made to the brackets and alignment to body panels in the design since - I suspect that you have a set of the latest ones Gemaskerde Tuinvurk.

I am sorry to put a spanner in the works here but I don't like the look of them at all
. They reduce the clearance way too much for my liking. I prefer the ones fitted to the Green Leisure Wheels project, I think they were made by Onca??? As I have posted elsewhere here on the forum, my problem with the LWB is not the clearance at the side step (I also removed the standard soft sliders) but the front bash plate and the rear overhang. For me I would rather spend that kind of money on the two under body bash plates and the spacer lift, just my 2cw. But I must say the workmanship looks top notch

Gerbek, before I took them I also wanted to check the ground clearance - was my main concern.
I have the spacer lift and a set of lynx intercooler and gearbox plates. The lowest point is definitely the front middle where the plates are - which is fine for me.
The sliders are for those rocks you don't want to drive over with the centre of the car (best translation for wydsbeen), but rather climb over with the wheel - and then they end up larger than you expected...
