Advice needed: new used Pajero
A friend of mine is considering buying a used Pajero. Your feedback regarding the price, etc is appreciated.

The details:
  • 2003 Pajero 3.2 DiD SWB
  • approx 196000 kms
  • Mint condition
  • Price: R145K

The friend is seriously looking at buying one after he was in the Richtersveld as a passenger in a SWB Pajero!

Plse let me know of this deal... :P

Re: Advice needed: new used Pajero
Sounds OK if it is in mint as you say and it has full service history.

Shorties are in high demand and generally sell at good prices for the sellers.

Re: Advice needed: new used Pajero
My friend decided to buy the Paj.
It is a late (Oct) 2003 model (book shows Pajero 3.2 TD SWB). Not sure when the Pajero face lift happened, but this Paj looks almost identical to my 2006 model Paj SWB. The only differences I could see, were:
  • display unit (compass, time, radio, etc) had a colour display nogal... My Paj's display is black and white..
  • no sunroof
He bought the vehicle for R125K.

O, and there's one thing I noticed when test driving it: When I put the gears in 4L with central diff lock, the led's on the dashboard stop indicating the correct gear drive position. Only the central led indicating central diff lock was flashing, but all other 4 led's for the 4 x drive wheels were 'dead'... :o :o Back in 2H the central diff led was still blinking, with all other led's for the drive wheels still unlit.

Any idea what this problem is..??
