Getting Pajero from Cape Town to Joburg??
I've sold my 'old' (2006) Pajero and bought a newer one, a 2010 GLS model :D , so its also an upgrade from the GLX. Mileage is 71,000 so also includes maintenance plan to 100,000 or May 2015. Has dual battery system and roof rack - and I got her for R330k. I think I got a pretty good deal :?:

Anyway, the challenge is to get her from CT to JHB. Flying down and driving back is not my idea of fun and I can't afford to make a holiday of it. Getting her up by train will cost around R4k; does anyone have any other ideas for me? Thanks in advance.

When I bought a 3.8V6 SWB (with 28k on the clock) from Paarden Eiland Mitsu, they flew the missus and I down to Cape Town and had us collected at the airport.

Have you discussed that option with the seller?

R4k to rail the car to you? Take it, there isn't a cheaper option out there.

Hi Roelf. Get a quote from the carriers that transport the vehicles for the motor industry. Compre quotes between these: www.autocarriers.co.za; www.motorvia.co.za; www.vdsgroup.co.za; www.autofreight.co.za; www.yalwa.co.za/Vehicle-Transportation/81520/‎ - the last one has lots of carriers detailed.

Good luck and I hope you will enjoy your new car tremendously. My wify and I both drive Pajeros. A LWB 3.2 and a SWB 3.5
