Hi All
Happy and blessed 2014 to you all. May your Pajero's take you on the most amazing adventures this year!!
My "check engine" light has come on twice over last week. If the ignition is left off for long enough the light does not come on at the next start of the engine.
I want to know, if my car gets hooked up to the computer at the Stealers, will they be able to read the error even if the engine light is off at the time. Or does the engine light have to be on at the time they try to get error codes?
Thanks!

Hi
It stores it in memory, so as long as you do not disconnect the battery, they will be able to see it. My indie mechanic can also read codes, so not only the dealer that can do it.
