Can anybody help me with figures ? My Pajero ave 8,5 km / liter . ( with roofrack nothing on top ) Please help me your average?

2007 did (common rail 120kw) fuel consumption
City 14l/100km (average over two years)
Open road 10l/100km
Open road towing offroad trailer 14l/100km

2007 DID GLX. Average over 106 686 km = 10.33 l/100 km, or 9.68 km/liter. Mixed driving, without roof rack Includes some 6 000 km trailer towing.
Look at my fuelly stats.
Most of it with roof rack, spacers / lifted, intercooler and transfer case bash plates, extra battery plus steel side steps (the latter for the last 15k kms).
The extra weight makes town driving consumption bad.
The roofrack + lift made my best open road consumption about 9.5km/l (HT tyres). Now with AT tyres it's down to 9km/l without towing.
When the car was still stock standard I could easily get above 10km/l open road if speed at about 110km/h.

I found that the empty roof rack increases fuel consumption by about 10% (This includes high speed driving) Open road without the roof rack about 10.5 km/l. Round and about with the roof rack as low as 7
Also check the computer speed against your speedo speed and GPS speed. (= true km travelled) The different readings might scare you as to true fuel consumption.
