You guys sell to easily. I bought a new one but couldn't part with old one and sold the new one again. In hindsight I should have just kept both but ja, that is water under the bridge. Made a turn on the dark LR side for a while as well. It was scary over there

Proximity to retirement is likely dealing me a hand that will result in this one being a keeper. I'm glad it's a Gen4 and a MIVEC too.

the Gen IV GLX has traction control as well as a rear Diff Lock, I have one. The GLS model goes have only traction control. I think from 2012 on the GLS also has a rear diff lock again!KaiV wrote:<null>
Quite a lengthy debate on 3 vs 4! I had a 2009 ver4. Was a fantastic vehicle on road as well as off road. Also the wife loved driving it. BUT the dash board rattle made me sell it. Just couldn't handle it anymore. It is dead quiet on any road and even ok with potholes, etc., but put it on corrugation and man, that dash starts rattling so that no conversation is possible inside vehicle. This site also have a long link on dash board rattles and apparent fixes to it. But if a web link is more than 20 pages long and complains still comes in, I would tend to conclude that most drivers have a problem.
I'll advise you to test it on corrugated road before buying. (That is if the previous owner is going to allow you that!) Otherwise the gen 4 is a seriously nice, capable and trustworthy vehicle. Having said that, my friend drives a gen 3 and he feels the same about his gen 3.

Yes and no. 1) some gen4's are unaffected. 2) tha dash can be fixed for a few hundred rand 3) unfixed; it has to be sold as you did.
