My Gen3 PJ's jack lost some of its fluid (oil?) after yours truly got over enthusiastic with the turn valve. Is it possible to top it up and if so with what and how?
Thinking of upgrading the jack to a proper bottle type (as found in bakkies) as the OE contraption is a bit dinky and very fiddly to operate. Any suggestions for a suitable replacement?
Yes you can refill them if I remember correctly. You use brakefluid to refill.
I once had a similar jack that leaked its fluid out and subsequently could not lift high enough. It was an emergency and all we had that "looked" similar was Sunlight liquid soap! We topped it up with that and it also worked 100%

I used normal hydraulic fluid (note: Not brake fluid or automatic transmission fluid) in mine. (Can be bought from most spares shops)
