New legislation....vehicle modifications
Hi all
I believe there is new legislation regarding vehicle modifications...after market rims, suspension kits, exhaust changes etc.
Apparently this new law is being enforced in the Cape and Natal, where vehicles are deemed "un-roadworthy" in roadblocks and have to be re-roadworthy-ed.
Any well informed members out there?

Thanks
Andre :(

A bit of a storm in a teacup, iro 4x4 vehicles etc, I suspect.

If you took this at face value, then every tow bar must be fitted OEM or by a coachbuilder, ditto for every roofrack, non-OEM spotlight, non-OEM fog light, etc.

If they apply the law the way the media is portraying it, every police car and ambulance will have to be taken off the road. I dont see them enforcing it

Roelf,

Due to the fact that it is now unroadworthy, maybe you should dump it and buy na new one. BUT, please tell me where you are going to dump it!!
