Hello Thinus,
Your fuel consumption is very good! You raise many points which affect it, of which driving style is possibly the most important. I'm afraid that I am impatient (to my wife's annoyance!) and hate dawdling along behind slow vehicles. Thank goodness for the Pajero's excellent acceleration! So at 84 my terrier instinct hasn't faded much! We cruise at the speed limit wherever possible, and Cruise Control makes that a pleasure because you can keep your eyes on the road.
Thank you, Entabeni.

Hi guys new here I've got my 3.2 SWB on the 15 Aug 2015. I've been driving on and of a X6 (long distances) and yesterday was the first time I did a long trip with "The Bull" and the pure driving pleasure is just %^$#^ great With 1300 km behind my back i must say i feel great sorry i was pulling a car trailer with a Kia Cerrento on it, My estimated feul consumption was 11.9l/100km
My wife drives our 3.2 LWB to work & back daily & gets about 12l/100km. Not quite what I would like but about par I guess.
But there is another side to the story. What fuel grade?
My approach was simple - use the best fuel available, so pay the extra & use 50ppm. However, I recently read an article that suggested 500ppm was a better lube than the 50ppm, so I went in to see our local Mitsu agent who said the Paj was designed to run on 500ppm.
So, has anyone done a comparison between fuel grades & how these effect consumption (and of course, any other issues).
Thanks

Hi all
I have a 2012 Pajero Sport 3,2 automatic.
Since having had a Dastek Power Chip fitted earlier this year when cruising at around 120kph the vehicle returns around 8,4l/100km. If I reduce the speed to around 110kmh the consumption drops to as low as 7,7l/100kms. I estimate a saving of around 18% in fuel consumption with a corresponding increase in power output. I am delighted with the performance and economy of the vehicle and to date I have had no problems with the power chip.

I've bought a brand new 3,2 DiD in Vereeniging about a month ago, delivered with 49 km om the clock. I drove it down to Durban where I live, averaging 8.8 l/100km driving at a steady 125 km/h clocked, or 120 km/h on the GPS. I am hopeful that this will improve further as the engine runs in.
Shew thay is actually quite good!Johannes wrote:I've bought a brand new 3,2 DiD in Vereeniging about a month ago, delivered with 49 km om the clock. 8.8lt / 100km = 11.3km/lt...
You sure it isn't the other way around?
