Brake problem
I have the 2.8 D 2000 MODEL, 225,000km. Has been well maintained, but recently I experienced vibration on brake pedal and accelerator when almost stopped, and on one occasion complete brake failure as pedal reached floor.
Can anyone help me with a reliable service point or person( but not an agent) in the Paarl, Wellington, Stellenbosch area?
Thank you

the best you can do is replace the front disk, any good brake specialist will be able to do that sorry i do not know off any one in the Paarl a fitment center like supa quick ore Hi-Q will be able to do that.
Re: Brake problem
I've fitted my Pajero with new brakes from Powerbrake (http://www.powerbrake.co.za/) and since have no problems. With the standard discs one must not brake hard (and heat up the discs) and then hit water, that is when the judder starts. The Powerbrake discs are grooved and cool down faster. The braking is also much better. Just my experience.
Re: Brake problem
I don't think these symptoms point to disc problems. The shuddering is also felt on the accelator and once the brakes took very low.
My suspicion is that the vacuum pump(system) on the ABS side could be the problem.

Thank you Roelf- may be onto something here as the ABS amber alert light is showing intermittently.
Am taking vehicle to GERMOTECH in Wellington this morning.
