Hi, I think that installation looks really neat and tidy. I checked 4x4 Direct's website and that unit is showing out of stock unfortunately. I think I should look at a light bar as an option to a pair of spots.

And I presume you guys have heard about the traffic depts pulling off vehicles with lightbars and confiscating licenses.
The importers will have to win the fight with the legislation first.
Hard to swallow but ....

Following up on my original post, I eventually decided to go with my first thought which was for a pair of 80 watt LED spots from 4x4 Direct. I got a little wary of fitting a lightbar after the posts concerning their legality on 4x4 Community Forum.
I got the new lights up and running yesterday and WOW, what a difference. Never having driven with LED spots on a vehicle before, I wasn't expecting quite such a dramatic change. The total cost to buy the units and pay for the electrical connections cost me just short of R5k, but definitely money well spent I think.
It is always a bit risky buying online but the lights are solid, well made and look pretty good so I very happy with the result.

Hi, See attached pics. The casing is aluminium but not sure about the front cover - glass or plastic? I'm not sure but I suspect that it's very hard plastic.
