Not amused.
Having spent a fortune getting the rust fixed and the Pajero resprayed three days after I get it back the bastards in Bonnievale do this during the Wacky Wine Weekend.

The one side was forced, and we believe the other side shattered coincidentally.

4 weeks for new glass and a new frame for the one side.

Use Uber for any late event.
Especially where the parking is not secure.
Sorry for the damages.

Uber only operates in main centres. We're 200km away. And this was at our guest house

One never expects something like this in the country, specially in WC. Was there anything in the back that they were after?

Re: Not amused.
My bag of goodies like torches, headlamps, inverter and stuff was the only thing visible.

It was untouched. I think the shattering glass made such a loud bang the scarpered without taking it.

Re: Not amused.
I have never been able to understand vandalism. What dark things lurk in such a person's mind? Do they get a perverse satisfaction from damaging other people's property? I remember that just after I had the Gen1 resprayed, it really stood out in the crowd, being an old vehicle in such good condition. Within a week whilst parked at a mall, somebody put a scratch from front to rear on it, right through all the paint, all the way to the metal. I had to have the whole LHS resprayed! It turns out the swines stole my recovery kit. I didn't realise until this morning.

So sorry Simon, you always feel violated when this stuff happens. The world turns though.

Hi Simon

Sorry for your loss, but I believe in Karma. Seems this breaking into visitors cars by locals is becoming an all to familiar occurrence. Colleagues of mine was at a B&B in Clanwiliam and they befell the same fate. According to the authorities in the area, they are linking these types of crime to an increase in drug related activity that is due to Cape Gangs setting up camp in these smaller towns. The youngsters are unfortunately seen as soft targets for their mechandise.
