Re: Dual battery system
Apparently Frontrunner makes a bracket for the Gen3 / Gen4 so you can move the original battery there and then install another in the original spot, but I've never done it so seriously have a chat to a decent fitment center like Gerber's or Mitsi Tech and see what they offer.

Re: Dual battery system
Kurt,
Did you come right with the Dual Battery System?

If not, do not go to a a normal Battery Fitment Center. You are going to pay for something you do not want!!
There should be place inside the engine compartment behind the standard fitted battery against the firewall. All Pajeros' have this location specifically for a second Battery.

There is a Company in Cleveland JHB that can assist you with the correct installation of an Auxiliary battery running separate for additional equipment and would not compromise your standard fitted battery.

Please let me know should you need the info.

Re: Dual battery system
Blikkies, Realist is looking for advice. I'm not in the market for a dual battery system.

Re: Dual battery system
REAList, what is "this" that you refer to? Seems that an image is missing.

However, I own a 2006 GLX and I have swapped the batteries around. My vehicle battery is now in the (smaller) place provided for the 2nd battery and my 2nd battery in the original spot. The reason I did this was so that I could use a bigger 2nd battery. Work was done by Wynland 4x4 Centre in Somerset West. It's been like this now for years and works fine.
Re: Dual battery system
If you know about dual battery systems and have more fingers than thumbs and the right tools it can be done. Did mine when i got it last year.

Do a search on the forum for "Dual Battery System" and there is a thread that shows it step by step, even how to make the bracket up.

I followed this advice carefully but must admit I had some practice on a Pajero Sport.

Being a lazy bugger I chose to buy the bracket from a Front Runner supplier R 450 and also run the wires under the vehicle instead of up the A the pillar and through the roof.

The Gen 4 does not have enough space to fit the 102 Ah battery in the new bracket, so I fitted the crank battery there and the 102 in the original spot. The article does however show that there is space for the 102 in the new bracket.

I will do a search and post if i find it
Re: Dual battery system
The search function is on leave today.

But I found something which may help under the 4x4 Community Forum website: "Pajero Gen4 Dual Bat system"
Also: "Gen3 Pajero Dual Battery System".

Maybe tomorrow..................
