We have a 2012 pajero sport which we took for its 120000 service. The quote received was in excess of R8000. I was advised by the dealer this is as laid down by Mitsubishi. Mitsubishi claim the dealer can charge what they want to and they have no control over the dealer. Is this cost in line with what other owners have experienced? Would like to know. Thanks Cecil
Cecil,
The only thing that Mitsu can "dictate" about the service is what should be done on the 120k service. The cost of the parts and labour is up to the service centre, and then free-market forces are at play.
What did they quote for. If I remember correctly, then all the oils are changed. Did they quote on changing brake fluid and coolant as well?
If all that is really done, then you'll most probably find that the quote is justified. I still think you should shop around, if possible.
