If anyone is taking their Pajero DID apart for parts, I'm interested in the intercooler! ;)

@Dunedriver, where can one get these intercoolers from that you are referring to?

Hi just to let u know that I am stripping complete Pajero 3.2 did 2006 auto gearbox and engine sold already but everything else is still available radiator intercooler diff's all glass body panels computers etc etc

Great, but I'm not sure they have the same intercooler?
Also, I need replacement airvents (internal) and a back door lock.

My mechanic identified it as a leak in my intercooler, possibility that I bumped it somewhere driving offroad - the bash plate is dented. +- R18 000 for a intercooler replacement.

Hi there,
I had the feeling that my gears were hanging on too long a few 1000 km's ago. The feeling could definitely be described as 'lazy'! I took it to Mitsu Hatfield who diagnosed old gearbox oil (I may well have missed the normal change because the car was taken to non-mitsu specialists for convenience once or twice). I was also advised to drive the car in manual through all the gears (0-5) at regular intervals. I had been given similar advice regarding the 4x4 gears on a previous occasion (i.e. use regularly) as they apparently become 'sticky' with disuse and may then refuse service when called upon. This all makes sense to me, so I do it regularly now. Bearing in mind that we also have 230 000km on the clock, the gear changing feels pretty good and when pushed, the old boy still gets to well over the speed limit! :D
