SO there are two Swb Mistu sitting in my yard, the daughters circ 2000 3.2 Did manual and my 2006 3.8 Auto.
I noticed there is a difference on the rocker switch on the lower dash. Her says Diff lock and mine has the car with the wavey lines on it.
So I presume her one has rear diff lock. But mine?
Is that to switch off all the auto traction stuff when playing in sand etc and when else will it be used?
Also the green 2 wheel 4x2 mode on dash will go out after about 30-50 kms and the centre orange light flashes but vehicle drives fine with no funny noises. If i stop and switch of and restart its fine for another 30-50 kms...?
So I decided to leave it in permanent 4x4 seeing as the wheels will drive everything backwards anyway to the transfer box and get the benefit of having permanent drive to all 4 wheels. especially on wet roads.
Haven't found fuel consumption too bad doing this. Around 16-17L /100kms around town - better on open road.
It uses a true - tank calculated 14L /100kms at 125kms on speedo (122kms on Gps) so 7kms/L on too bad for a 3-8 V6 two ton Auto.
Very happy with my Mutsi.
