Looking for some guidance
We have booked 4 days in Kosi Bay and 3 days in the KNP (Pretoriuskop, B&B) along next week.

Here are my questions:

1. Any suggestions for the route to Kozi Bay beyond just following the GPS ?
2. We intend to go from Kosi Bay to Malelane via Swaziland - what do we need to know for the transfer and is there anything to look at along the route (we will not stay over night).
3. Do's and don'ts in Swaziland

Thanks for any ideas ;)

No suggestions here ???...
Re: Looking for some guidance
I personaly dont like the road JHB to Pongola. I prefere the N3/ N2 up to Pongola.

Make sure you have your car papers with you. Sometimes they can be difficult.... also, make sure you have a bottle of patience with your for the borders.

Dont get caught speeding in Swaziland. You have to pay on the spot.
Do wear your seatbelt. You have to pay on the spot if caught and last I heard was R1500 (same as talking on a cell whilst driving)
Watch for animals on the road. Thats in the Kozi as well as Swaziland area.

Re: Looking for some guidance
Thanks Kai - we will decide at the border, if it takes too long - we just return a drive around.

I heard Steffi had a little German girl on visit this week...hope it was not too stressfull ;)

Re: Looking for some guidance
Well last time I went there we went via Sodwana. Like Kavi said, N4 Witbank, Ermelo, Piet Retief, Pongola and then you can either go over the mountain or thru Sodwana then its nice road to Kosi but a bit longer

Re: Looking for some guidance
We left Sunday morning at 9am and arrived shortly after 18:00h...more than 9 hours for only 630 km...

All N17 is a one big roadwork which continuous until Pongola...luckily we leave via the KNP on Sunday to Bedfordview.

Re: Looking for some guidance
The N17 goes directly in Swaziland. Maybe it will be a nice trip going thru there if you going directly to Moza if you have the time
