I have an issue with getting the correct filter for my transmission. My Pajero is a 2001 model, manufactured in Nov 2000. There are 2 filters available, MR357710 and MR528836. Question is which one is the correct one for the vehicle. MR357710 has a flat surface around the bottom hole. MR528836 has a "pipe"section, possibly to sit lower in the oil level. My question is: Does it matter if it is flat or not? I remember when I removed the original filter in 2016, it was flat. But the agents tell me that I need filter MR528836 which is the one with the "pipe"at the bottom. Anybody with same experience?
