Been noticing a small drip on the garage floor for the last month, checked brakes last night and saw left side sideshaft oil seal leaking. It feels like there is slight amount of play where splined shaft goes into diff (Gen 4 with 311000km, quite a bit of offroading in the last three years...). According to Google/Youtube this is DIY doable in situ, but I don`t have much time before 15 Dec (when I need to drive down to Gansbaai).
Are there any recommended gearbox/diff places that can be recommended close to Randburg/Fourways? I will contact Mitspro and Henk De Klerk too (have dealt with both before, and can recommend them)
Has anybody else done this recently?
My suspension lift obviously increases the angle of the driveshaft, do you think this plays a role (311 000km is good innings, just asking)
