Good day,
I am the owner of a Pajero 3.8V6 2008 model,245000 kms on the clock, had the vehicle for 9 years without a day's problems.
The vehicle is an absolute pleasure to drive until now: oops
Whilst driving yesterday the engine management light comes on with some other warning illuminated dashboard lights.
Plug in the diagnostics and error code P0431 is reflecting.
Strip and clean all 4 sensors (on catalytic converter) but this morning after a while the same message appear with the same warning lights.
I did not clean the switches as I did not have electro cleaning on hand.
Now: Must I take my car in to have the exhaust check for leaks
Run catalytic converter through the system
Remove the catalyst converter
Replace the sensors
Is there any other PJ owner that had the same problem, or any advice will be appreciated.
PS: P0431
Warm Up Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 2 that is the fault code on the diagnostics.
Have a pleasant evening
Riaan
